Volunteers:
Beaconsfield operates a volunteer programme linked directly to our exhibitions and events, as well as occasional office-based work. Volunteering at Beaconsfield is a great opportunity to be part of a small friendly team and to gain experience in a contemporary art organisation.
Volunteer invigilators: as first point of contact to the public volunteer invigilators play a vital role in providing visitors with information and a warm welcome, and ensuring the smooth running of the public space. They also support staff running the small gallery café. We ask for your commitment and enthusiasm for the length of the show and, in return, will provide experience and a reference (on request).
Beaconsfield has now recruited volunteers for our next project. We will next be looking for volunteers in autumn 2008. Please contact Beaconsfield if you are interested in becoming a volunteer invigilator.
Freelance technicians:
Beaconsfield is always interested in maintaining its list of freelance technicians to assist with installation of exhibitions and events, as well as general maintenance of the building. For more information, please contact the office.
Artists:
Beaconsfield’s directors are always happy to be made aware of new work and artist CVs and images are accepted. Please send information by email or post, but do not send original works of art and remember to include an SAE if you would like anything returned. Beaconsfield cannot return images or catalogues where an SAE is not provided.
NB: Beaconsfield does not accept unsolicited exhibition proposals.
Local businesses:
Beaconsfield actively tries to order from small local businesses whenever possible. If you are a business in the Vauxhall area and think Beaconsfield might benefit from your services (such as catering, office supplies, security staff etc.) please feel free to contact us.
