Tomoko Takahashi
- November/December
- Tomoko Takahashi. An installation in both the lower and upper gallery spaces responding to Beaconsfield, the venue. In collaboration with composer Neill Quinton, Takahashi responded to the "visual music" she perceived in the space and embraced qualities such as tempo and rhythm within her installation. The installation is now in the Saatchi Collection.

- between the devil and the deep (blue) sea. Presented the work of seven British artists city-wide in Helsinki, Finland. This temporary visit to Helsinki was compounded by the emphasis on 'performance' or physical presence as a component of each artists work. The project combined interventions in public space with gallery based installations and was part of the annual Helsinki Festival. - Ground Control. A collaborative project with artist-run space Jutempus in Vilnius and the Baltic Flour Mills in Gateshead, manifesting in exhibitions in London and Vilnius, a book, a web site and symposium. Artists projects focused upon the relationship between 'East' and 'West' Europe through their experiences as visitors, exploring the implications of travel and global communication and the potential of the artist as commentator and contemporary seer. - Rude Mechanic. Project concerned with the visualisation of sound; conceived and curated by David Crawforth, co-founder of Nosepaint and Beaconsfield, Hayley Newman and Finnish sound duo Panasonic. Collaborators include squarepusher, Jimi Tenor, Simon Fisher Turner, Kaffe Matthews, David Cunningham and Susan Stenger.

RAX, Roi Vaara
- RAX. The first group show of contemporary Finnish art in London. Co-produced with MUU ry. The Finnish artists all show internationally and are amongst the most acknowledged in their country. The show includes work in public space in the neighborhood of the gallery and offers, on the one hand, an extrovert, up-front approach to contemporary fast culture and, on the other, darker, more contemplative insights into present day paradigms. - Disorders. Event taking place at St Thomas' Hospital, produced by Beaconsfield and curated by Nosepaint: a collaboration between invited artists, the management, staff and patients of St Thomas' Hospital and Beaconsfield to intervene, record and comment upon the ongoing battle with mortality over a cycle of 24 hours. The project takes place to celebrate the launch of the Guys and St Thomas' Sleep Centre, the first unit for research, diagnosis and treatment of the full range of sleep disorders. - Cottage Industry. Exhibition reflecting upon the relation between artists, the art market and their audience and upon the responses of contemporary artists to their professional and domestic constraints - conceived and curated by Naomi Siderfin, co-founder of Nosepaint and Beaconsfield. The allocation of exhibition space which includes home and studio-based installation and a specially commissioned catalogue essay as well as a display in Beaconsfield's main space. Plein Air, Matthias Jackisch
- September/October
- Launch project Plein Air with internationally renowned performance artist Matthias Jackisch from Dresden, Germany and French nineteenth century painter Felix Ziem, curated by Beaconsfield. Jackisch installs himself for the duration of four weeks in an environment incorporating a single work by Ziem. The month long inhabitation of the gallery is accompanied and informed by research undertaken by Jackisch in the local vicinity of Vauxhall. The commission draws upon tensions and relationships between the contemporaneous and the historical and examines conventions surrounding the artistic process and its preservation.

- Beaconsfield opens a new space for art in central London . The venue is situated at the west end of the riverside walk which leads to the South Bank Centre and the site for the new Tate Gallery of Modern Art. The nineteenth century building has a main exhibition space of 150 square metres with a wall height of 10 metres. It has been renovated to a high specification.

- Accompanying Dialogues. Recording by Beaconsfield for Artifice CD-ROM including an interview between Nicholas Logsdail of the Lisson Gallery and Greg Hilty of the Hayward Gallery and soundloops produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Sound.
- February
- A Public Work of Art. Site-specific installation conceived and produced by Beaconsfield Artworks and hosted by the South Bank Centre. An outdoor installation combining sound and matter; the only visible component being a controversially inscribed bronze-cast manhole cover with a 1000 watt speaker installed beneath emitted the sound of a person dying of pneumonia.

- Beaconsfield at the Ministry of Sound. Event produced by Beaconsfield, curated by Nosepaint and hosted by the Ministry of Sound, leader in European club culture. Combining state of the art visual and audio technology with traditional techniques, Beaconsfield presents a range of time based work - performance art and installations - from eighteen artists and groups including Loophole Cinema and Lindsay John together with new music including Talvin Singh and Zuveya and DJ's including Judge Jules, Billy Nasty and Eastern Sound System - in a club context.
